The Chapel of Our Lady of Vitaleta in summer

Near San Quirico d'Orcia, surrounded by the Crete Senesi, stands the Chapel of Our Lady of Vitaleta. With its white façade in Rapolano stone, this chapel is one of the most admired subjects of the area. Originally built in the late Renaissance and rebuilt at the end of the nineteenth century on the design of the architect Giuseppe Partini, the chapel represents a perfect example of 16th century architecture.
