The charming hamlet of San Vito a Polignano a Mare, renowned for its historic abbey and its sandy beaches. San Vito houses three of the most famous beaches of the region: Porto Cavallo, Porto Contessa and the beach of San Vito, located at the foot of the homonymous abbey. The latter, dating back to the IX century, is characterized by a Romanesque church with three naves and a convent transformed into houses.
